Meet Dr. Jean, a compassionate Optometrist who believes eye care should be personal, thorough, and centered around the whole patient—not just their prescription. Born in Saudi Arabia and having lived in several countries throughout his life, Dr. Jean brings a strong multicultural perspective to his care and values building genuine connections with patients from all backgrounds.
He earned his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science in the beautiful city of Ottawa before completing his Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo. Known for his calm and caring approach, he focuses on making patients feel comfortable, informed, and truly listened to during every visit.
Dr. Jean provides full eye exams, contact lens fittings, emergency exams, and care for any other eye health needs. He has a particular passion for managing ocular disease, seeing eye emergencies, and treating dry eyes—and loves educating patients about myopia control and long-term eye health so they can take an active role in protecting their vision.
Drawn to Calgary by its welcoming people and vibrant community, Dr. Jean is excited to call the city home and serve its diverse population. He is happy to provide eye exams in both English and Arabic, helping patients feel comfortable and understood throughout their care.
